For your convenience and to help expedite the check-in process, new clients can print the following registration card.  Please fill out all areas and bring to the kennel.  Please note: we still need to see proof of vaccinations from your vet; the "Vaccination Dates" section on this card is for our records.

VACCINATIONS - Proof of vaccination is required for all dogs and cats. 

Dogs must have received Rabies and Distemper, Parvo (1 year or 3 year, depending on your vet).  They must also have received Bordetella (Kennel Cough) vaccines within the last six months.

Cats must have had Rabies and Feline Distemper vaccines within the last year. 

Sorry, no puppies under 16 weeks or kittens under 12 weeks.

TICKS OR FLEAS - Pets found with fleas or ticks will be treated at the owner's expense.  They will be given Capstar, a pill, to kill the fleas currently on them.  This is not a preventative and cannot be used as such.  Our preventative flea treatment of choice is Frontline, which we sell in our lobby.

SUMMER 2-NIGHT MINIMUM STAY - From Memorial Day to Labor Day there will be a 2 night minimum charge. If you do choose to pick your pet after only 1 night's stay, you will still be charged the fee for 2 nights.

HOLIDAYS - For all major holidays, there will be a 3 night minimum charge.  The kennel will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. (Yes, your pet is still being cared for, but we are not open to the public for pick up or drop off.)  All other holidays, the kennel will be open PM hours only.

DEPOSITS - Deposits are required for holiday and peak periods.  Please see Reservation Cancellation/Change Policy below.

AFTER HOURS PICK-UP - Depending on circumstances, we may be able to accommodate a request for after hours pick-up if arrangements are made a minimum of 24 hours in advance. After hours pick-ups must be limited to within one hour of closing. A fee of $20 will be charged.

RESERVATION CANCELLATION/CHANGE POLICY

Reservations at our facilities are limited, and we become full very quickly during peak seasons of the year.  Many times clients forget that when our facilities reach capacity we are forced to refuse reservations.  When someone with a current reservation cancels (or adjusts in some cases) last-minute, we often cannot refill the space. This results in a loss of revenue. 

Due to increases in "No Shows" and late cancellations, we have been forced to implement the following policy:

For all major holiday reservations, all reservations must be guaranteed by credit card or cash

10 days prior to holiday cancellation or change notification required

During peak season a non-refundable cancellation deposit for a two day minimum stay equaling $50.00 must be guaranteed with a credit card or check. 

Change notification for early pick-up date received less than 48 hours before scheduled pick-up date will result in charges for the original time booked unless the space abandoned can be rebooked.

Please Note:

Barnwell Oaks Kennels reserves the right to refuse boarding to any pet we feel may be disruptive to our other guests.  These may include, but are not limited to, females in their heat cycle and non-stop barkers. Dogs showing aggression toward the staff may also be refused.  Unaltered males cats are also not accepted for boarding.  We attempt to reduce the stresses on our guests and to do so, at times we do have to refuse certain pets.
