VACCINATIONS- Proof of vaccination is required for all dogs and cats.

     Dogs must have received Rabies, DHLPP, and 6 Month Bordetella. Canine Influenza is highly encouraged but not required. All Vaccines that need updating must be done 2 weeks before the scheduled boarding date.

*We do not accept the yearly Bordetella vaccine if it is NOT current within the last 6 months. A booster will be required before the boarding date.

    

     Cats must have had Rabies and Feline Distemper vaccines within the last year.

 

Sorry, no puppies under 16 weeks, unaltered male cats, in-heat female dogs, or kittens under 12 weeks. 

 

TICKS OR FLEAS- Pets found with ticks or fleas will be treated at the owner's expense. 

 

HOLIDAYS- The kennel will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. (Yes, your pet is still being cared for, but we are not open to the public for drop off or pick up.) For all other holidays, check Facebook And Google.

 

AFTER-HOURS PICK-UP- Depending on circumstances, we may be able to accommodate a request for after-hours pick-up if arrangements are made a minimum of 24 hours in advance. After-hours pick-ups must be limited to within one hour of closing. A $20.00 after-hours pick-up fee will be applied to your invoice due to last-minute drop-offs or pick-ups during the time we are closed. Please call ahead for arrangements.

 

OTHER CHARGES- There will be a cancellation fee of one night's stay for any reservations that are terminated less than 48 hours of the appointment. There will also be a minimum $10 extra charge per day for any dogs that require daily extra care (Daily accidents, high anxiety, causing stress to other guests, etc). Dogs that require a bath (E.G. if they come in dirty, and consistently have accidents in their kennel) will be bathed at the owner's expense. In an emergency, there will be a fee for transportation of the pet to the vet.

We accept as forms of payment: cash, checks, Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. We no longer accept American Express

 

Please Note:

Barnwell Oaks Kennels reserves the right to refuse boarding to any pet we feel may be disruptive to our other guests.  These may include but are not limited to, females in their heat cycle and non-stop barkers. Dogs showing aggression toward the staff may also be refused.  Unaltered male cats are also not accepted for boarding.  We attempt to reduce the stress placed on our guests and to do so, at times we do have to refuse certain pets.
